Today, I was going to film the shots for the 'Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde' scene, but unfortunately, the battery and the camcorder ran out on the day before, whilst I was filming the 'Forrest Gump' scenes.
Due to this, no filming was done today. :'(

Filming Diary Entry - Saturday 23rd November 2013
Today, as scheduled on my shoot list, I filmed the 'Forrest Gump' scene of me running along a field. It was easy, as there was only 1 shot to film, but however, it took ages to film it because I wanted to get it just right. As this shot was scheduled to be a dolly shot, I needed an assistant to help me track my movement.
However, this did not go to plan. Here is more:
Here is a mid-shot of me, showing me running across the field towards the camera. There was only 1 shot to film, therefore, I could edit the footage in the places I wanted them in my music video.
Changes to shot:
This shot was supposed to be a dolly shot, but we had no specialised equipment to film this dolly shot, so it was down to just zooming out. As I ran towards the camera, the assistant was intended to slowly zoom out the focus of the camera, so the same kind of shot (mid-shot) was still attained. This took several cuts to film, but in the end, we got the focus just right on the character.
Camera problems:
The whole footage of the scene was filmed to the point where I thought it was professional enough to include in my music video. However, as we finished filming, the cam-corder was on low battery. This instance, I had to wait until Monday the 25th to charge the battery up to continue filming, so therefore Sunday the 24th, we did no filming, interrupting my shooting schedule even more.

Filming Diary Entry - Friday 22nd November 2013
Today was one of the busiest days of filming because I filmed so much stuff. The footage filmed on this day contributes to about 35% of the whole music video, so it was well worth the time filming in college.
First of all, I filmed all of the green screen stuff in S108; from close-ups to mid-shots, you name it! This was scheduled to be filmed the day before, but as the studio was booked on that day, I was to unable to film.
Above is an example of a mid-shot of the artist of which was filmed on the green screen. Here we can see a convention of the 'dance-pop' genre, which is the bright colour clothing I'm wearing. The artist (me) is also seen dancing to the beat of the song whilst lip-syncing, which is done to identify the genre of music, as dance-pop is played in nightclub, which involves dancing and possibly singing to several dance classics.
Here we see a close-up of the artist. The reason for incorporating close-up's with the mid-shot's above is to vary the different shots used in front of the green screen and to make this look a lot more exciting for viewers. This shot is shown a lot of times, therefore presenting a 'star image' of the artist. This is very important in the pop music genre, so the audience can figure out who they are through visuals and therefore recognise them a lot easier in future music videos.
To the left and right of the video, I've included shots of lights being turned on. This is then followed by a mid-shot of me dancing in front of the green screen. I've done this to show that I (the artist) is the star of the show and all the light is on me. Have you heard of the spotlight used in catwalks and theatrical plays? It is similar to this. This shot is shown at the start when the beat of the song kicks in with the melody. Normally in theatrical plays, the spotlight turns on when the play actually starts and the audience are all sat in their starts. In this case, when this is shown, the exciting stuff kicks in (the music and the editing skills).
At around 2:30pm on this date, I met up with 2 of the actors of the music video to film the 'Titanic' scene, by the names of Bobby Wheeler and Sophie Newton. This was indeed scheduled to be filmed today, which means I am right on schedule on this day.
Here (above) is the MCU/mid-shot of the actors lip-syncing to the chorus of the song. I found this very easy because I had the chance to film other people, instead of myself all of the time. I had the chance to make this shot look as perfect as possible, as in the angle of the shot and the type of shot it is. There were no difficulties when filming this shot above.

Due to the unavailability on a spare room for the green screen, I was unable to film the green screen shots of the artist. This will now be filmed on Friday 22nd November, where there is a spare room available, so I can film this footage.

Filming Diary Entry - Wednesday 20th November 2013
Changes Made to Schedule:
Due to the harsh weather in the morning and the availability of the filmed, I was unable to film the camera shots at Uphill. Instead, I filmed some footage in Hans Price Academy field, which I scheduled to happen on Saturday.
Above is a screenshot of the close-up/panning shot of my face (the artist) of which I filmed today. I filmed this shot today because it wasn't of a far location and it was easy to film.
This point-of-view shot (above) is part of an intertextual reference used for 'Forrest Gump' which I also filmed in Hans Price Academy field. Once again, it was of a near location and it was very easy to film with no difficulties.
Another piece of footage also filmed on this day is this one (above 2 pictures) a medium close-up of the artist lip-syncing. The lyrics to 'Cinema' filmed here: 'Action, Thriller…' is heard during these visuals of me holding up 2 DVD's of the same genre as the lyrics states. This is an aspect of Andrew Goodwin's theory of music video, where the lyrics match the visuals of the song.
Finally, I filmed another intertextual reference of the heel-tapping of red shoes from the film 'Wizard of Oz' (1939). I incorporated a similar shot from 'The Wizard of Oz' so the audience can understand I got the inspiration of the shots from the film itself. This was very easy to do and I didn't encounter any difficulties at all.

Filming Diary Entry - Tuesday 19th November 2013
Today was the first day of filming my music video. I filmed the extreme close-up of the artist's mouth (me).
It took me around half an hour to get the close-up shot just right, but I managed to get the shot just where I wanted it. This was done in just one shot and I lip-synced the whole duration of the song. This was done because throughout the whole video is the same shot of the mouth of the artist and I believe that one shot would be easier to edit when I come to putting the music video piece together.
